Possible Causes

Depleted or failed lithium-ion battery pack, Battery protection circuit tripped, Faulty power button PCB, Loose battery connection in handle or docking contacts

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the vacuum OFF, remove it from the charging stand, and detach the battery pack (if removable). Do not work on the unit while it is connected to power.

  • 1. Check battery charge: Place the vacuum on the LG charging stand or plug in the charger. Confirm the charger LED and the vacuum's battery indicator light up. Allow at least 3–4 hours of charging, then try powering on again.
  • 2. Reseat the battery: Remove the battery pack from the handle (or bottom of the stick, depending on model). Inspect the metal contacts for dust, corrosion, or burns. Wipe gently with a dry cloth and firmly reinstall the battery until it clicks.
  • 3. Test power button: Press and hold the power button for 3–5 seconds. Try both normal and Turbo modes. If the display briefly lights then shuts off, the battery may be failing under load.
  • 4. Try a known-good battery (if available): If you have a second LG battery (common with LG CordZero models), swap batteries. If the vacuum works with the second battery, the original battery pack is defective.
  • 5. Inspect charger and dock: Verify the wall outlet works by plugging in another device. Check the LG charging stand or wall-mount dock for loose wiring or broken contacts. If the charger LED never lights, the charger may be faulty.
  • Stop and call a technician if the battery is swollen, hot to the touch, or leaking. Do not puncture or open the battery pack.
