Possible Causes
Hair or string wrapped around brushroll, Foreign object jammed in nozzle, Failed brushroll motor, Damaged brush drive belt or gear train (in some LG nozzles)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum, remove the battery, and detach the motorized floor nozzle before working on the brush.
- 1. Remove the brushroll: On most LG CordZero nozzles, unlock the brush cover latch or coin-screw and lift out the brushroll.
- 2. Clear hair and debris: Use scissors to carefully cut away hair, threads, and fibers wrapped around the brush and end caps. Avoid cutting bristles.
- 3. Inspect end caps and bearings: Spin the brushroll by hand. It should rotate freely. If it feels rough or seized, the bearings or end caps may be damaged and the brushroll should be replaced.
- 4. Check nozzle inlet: Look inside the nozzle housing for coins, toys, or large debris blocking the air path. Remove any obstructions.
- 5. Reassemble and test: Reinstall the brushroll, lock the cover, reattach the nozzle, and reinstall the battery. Test on a low-pile surface. If E04 returns immediately and the brush does not move, the brush motor or internal wiring is likely faulty and the entire nozzle assembly may need replacement.
