Possible Causes
Faulty charging stand or wall-mount dock, Damaged DC adapter, Dirty or bent charging contacts, Internal charging PCB failure in battery or main body
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the wall before inspecting contacts. Do not short the contacts with metal tools.
- 1. Verify power outlet: Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm it has power.
- 2. Inspect charger and dock: Check the LG power adapter for damage to the cord or plug. Ensure the adapter is firmly plugged into the dock and wall.
- 3. Clean charging contacts: On both the dock and the vacuum/battery, gently wipe the metal contacts with a dry cloth. If there is light corrosion, use a cotton swab slightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol and let dry completely.
- 4. Try direct charging (if supported): Some LG models allow direct connection of the adapter to the battery or main body. Bypass the dock to see if charging resumes.
- 5. Test with another adapter (same rating): If available, use a compatible LG adapter to rule out a bad power supply.
- 6. If E08 persists and the battery never charges, the internal charging circuit or battery BMS is likely defective. Replace the battery pack first; if issue remains, the main body PCB or dock must be serviced.
