Possible Causes
Worn motor bearings, Air leaks around seals, Cracked dust bin or housing, Loose internal components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspection.
- 1. Check for cracks: Inspect the dust bin and main body for visible cracks or gaps that could cause whistling or increased noise.
- 2. Inspect seals: Ensure all gaskets around the bin and filters are seated properly.
- 3. Compare noise with and without bin: Briefly run the motor (battery installed) with the bin removed to see if noise source is the motor itself. If the motor is significantly louder than before, it may be wearing out.
- 4. Motor replacement is not a simple DIY repair. If noise is excessive or accompanied by vibration, contact LG service.
