Possible Causes
Worn motor bearings, Debris in motor fan, Bent motor shaft, Motor fan blade damage from ingested objects
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery immediately if you hear grinding or burning smells. Do not continue to run the unit.
- 1. Inspect dust bin and inlet: Remove the bin and check for foreign objects near the motor inlet that may be contacting the fan.
- 2. Brief test: With the bin removed and battery installed, briefly power on to localize the noise. If it clearly comes from inside the motor housing, stop use.
- 3. There are no safe user-serviceable repairs for internal motor bearings or fan blades. Continued use can cause complete motor failure or electrical hazards. Arrange for main body or motor replacement through LG service.
