Possible Causes
Loose battery connection, Overheating due to clogged filters, Failing battery pack, Weak thermal cutoff switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspection.
- 1. Reseat battery: Remove and firmly reinstall the battery until it clicks. Check for play or looseness in the connection.
- 2. Clean filters and check for clogs: Dirty filters and blockages can cause overheating and automatic shutdown. Clean as per the manual.
- 3. Test with another battery: If available, use a second LG battery. If the issue disappears, replace the original battery.
- 4. Allow cooling: If the vacuum feels hot, let it cool for 30 minutes before reuse. If shutdowns continue even when cool and clean, the internal thermal switch or motor may be failing and requires service.
