Possible Causes
Hair or string wrapped around brushroll, Jammed brush bearings, Shorted brushroll motor in floor head, Damaged wiring in floor head neck
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack and detach the motorized floor head from the wand or handheld unit before working on the brush.
- Clear brushroll: Turn the floor head upside down. Remove the brushroll cover (usually a clip or a few screws). Cut away hair, threads, and fibers with scissors, taking care not to cut the bristles.
- Check brushroll rotation: Spin the brushroll by hand. It should rotate freely. If it feels stiff or seized, inspect the end caps and bearings for debris or damage.
- Inspect for melted plastic: Look for heat damage around the brush ends or motor area. Melted plastic indicates prolonged stalling and likely motor damage.
- Check wiring and connector: Inspect the electrical connector pins between the wand and floor head for bent pins, corrosion, or looseness. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Test without wand: Connect the floor head directly to the handheld unit (if design allows) and test. If E3 still appears, the floor head assembly is likely faulty.
- Replace floor head: If the brushroll motor does not run or stalls immediately even when clean and free, replace the complete Logik motorized floor head assembly or brushroll motor module if sold separately.
