Dust cup door will not latch or pops open during use.

Safety first: Remove the battery before working on the dust cup.

• Clean latch area: Inspect the latch and catch surfaces for dust or debris. Clean with a dry brush or cloth.
• Check for damage: Look for cracks or broken plastic on the latch hook or door. If broken, the dust cup assembly must be replaced.
• Test closure: Close the door firmly until you hear a click. Gently pull to confirm it is secure.
• If latch will not hold: Replace the dust cup assembly or latch components with genuine Makita parts.
