Safety first: Remove the battery and detach the floor nozzle.

• Clear obstructions: Turn the nozzle over and remove any hair, string, or debris from the brush bar and end caps.
• Check brush rotation: Spin the brush bar by hand. If it is stiff or seized, the bearings or end caps may need replacement.
• Inspect belt (if applicable): On belt-driven models, remove the bottom plate of the nozzle and check if the belt is broken or slipped off. Replace with a genuine Makita belt if damaged.
• Test electrical connection: Ensure the nozzle is fully seated on the extension pipe and that any electrical contacts are clean.
• If brush still does not spin: The brush motor or internal wiring in the nozzle is likely faulty. Replace the complete motorized floor nozzle assembly.
