Possible Causes

Faulty battery management PCB inside battery pack, Poor contact between battery data pins and vacuum, Firmware miscalibration of battery gauge, Damaged battery sense wiring on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning contacts. Do not short any battery terminals.

  • Clean data contacts: Some Medion batteries have additional small data pins. Clean all contacts gently with a dry cloth.
  • Battery reset (if supported): Fully charge the battery, then run the vacuum continuously on low power until it shuts off. Recharge fully again. This can recalibrate the fuel gauge on some models.
  • Test with another battery: If a second battery shows normal indication, the original battery’s management PCB is likely faulty and the pack should be replaced.
  • Inspect PCB (advanced): If all batteries show erratic readings, inspect the main PCB for damaged sense resistors or connectors. Replacement of the PCB may be required.
