Possible Causes
Defective Medion charger/power adapter, Damaged charging port or dock contacts, Faulty charge control circuit on main PCB, Internal battery protection circuit open
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the mains before inspecting it. Do not use damaged power cords or adapters.
- Check outlet and adapter: Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm power. Inspect the Medion charger for damage, kinks, or burn marks. If the adapter LED (if present) does not light, replace the charger.
- Inspect charging contacts: On stick models with wall docks, inspect the dock contacts and the contacts on the vacuum handle or battery. Clean gently with a dry cloth.
- Direct battery charging (if removable): If your Medion model allows direct battery charging, remove the battery and connect it directly to the charger. If it charges this way, the fault is in the vacuum’s internal charging path.
- Check for loose connectors (advanced): With battery removed, open the handle housing and inspect the wiring from the charge port to the main PCB. Reseat any loose connectors.
- Persistent E6: If a known-good charger and good contacts still result in E6, the main control PCB or the battery’s internal protection board is likely faulty. Replacement is recommended via a service center.
