Possible Causes
Faulty motor control PCB, Damaged Hall sensor or tachometer in motor, Loose motor wiring connector, Software calibration error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before opening the motor housing. Avoid touching any exposed electronic components with wet hands.
- Reset the unit: Remove the battery for at least 1 minute, then reinstall and power on. Some Medion models will clear transient control errors with a power reset.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure the motor fan area is free of debris. A partially blocked fan can cause unstable speed.
- Inspect wiring (advanced): Open the motor housing and inspect the connectors between the motor and the main control PCB. Reseat any loose plugs.
- Test different modes: Switch between eco/normal/turbo modes. If the motor behaves erratically in all modes, the motor control PCB or motor sensor is likely defective.
- Component replacement: Replace the motor assembly (which often includes the tachometer sensor) or the main control PCB as a unit, following Medion’s service documentation.
