Brush roller in Electrobrush does not spin, but suction is present
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Hair and debris jammed around brush roller, Worn or broken drive belt (if used), Failed brush motor, Faulty brush on/off switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch OFF the vacuum, remove the battery, and detach the Electrobrush.
- 1. Remove brush roller: Release the locking mechanism and pull out the roller.
- 2. Clear debris: Cut and remove hair, threads, and fibers from the roller and end caps.
- 3. Check roller rotation: Spin the roller by hand. If it is stiff, replace the roller assembly.
- 4. Inspect drive system: If your model uses a belt, check for a broken or slipped belt and replace if necessary (use genuine Miele parts).
- 5. Test brush motor: Reassemble and run the vacuum. If the roller still does not spin and you hear no motor noise from the floorhead, the brush motor or internal PCB is likely faulty and the Electrobrush should be replaced.
