Possible Causes
Dirty or bent accessory ID contacts, Broken data line in wand, Faulty accessory recognition circuit on PCB, Non-compatible accessory attached
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting electrical contacts.
- 1. Verify accessory compatibility: Ensure the wand and floorhead are designed for your specific Miele cordless model (e.g. Triflex HX1 vs HX2).
- 2. Clean contacts: Use a dry cloth to gently clean the small metal contacts on the wand and accessory neck. Do not use liquids or abrasives.
- 3. Inspect for damage: Look for bent or recessed pins. If pins are misaligned, the wand or accessory may need replacement.
- 4. Test with another accessory: Attach a different powered accessory (if available). If it is recognized, the original accessory is faulty.
- 5. If no accessories are recognized: The accessory recognition circuit on the main PCB or in the handle may be defective. Contact Miele service for diagnosis.
