Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on control PCB, Failed memory component, Voltage spike damage, Manufacturing defect
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and disconnect the charger.
- 1. Attempt a hard reset: Remove the battery for at least 15 minutes. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (with battery removed), then reinsert the battery and test.
- 2. Try a different battery (if available): Rarely, abnormal battery behavior can trigger firmware errors. If F14 clears with another battery, replace the original battery.
- 3. If F14 persists: The control PCB firmware or memory is likely corrupted. This requires PCB replacement or reprogramming by Miele service. Do not attempt to open or reflash the PCB yourself.
