Possible Causes
Battery pack too hot or too cold, Internal battery cell imbalance, Faulty temperature sensor in battery pack, Defective charger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the charger from the mains before handling the battery. Do not attempt to open the battery pack.
- 1. Allow battery to reach room temperature: If the vacuum was used heavily or stored in a hot/cold environment, let the battery sit at room temperature (15–25°C / 59–77°F) for at least 1 hour.
- 2. Inspect battery casing: Check for swelling, cracks, or burn marks. If any are present, do not use or charge the battery. Contact Miele for safe disposal and replacement.
- 3. Try a different outlet: Plug the charger into a known-good wall outlet (avoid extension cords). Reinsert the battery into the charger and observe the LED behavior.
- 4. Test with another battery (if available): If another compatible Miele battery charges normally, the original battery pack is faulty.
- 5. If no batteries charge: The charger may be defective. Replace the charger with a genuine Miele unit.
- 6. Persistent F6: Indicates an internal battery protection fault. Replace the battery pack through Miele service; do not attempt repair.
