Parasitic Standby Drain
Vacuum’s battery drains while the tool is stored attached, even when not in use.

Possible Causes
Control PCB drawing standby current, LED or electronics not fully shutting down, Faulty trigger circuit leaking current, Battery left on tool for extended periods
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Store batteries separately from tools when not in use.
- 1. Remove battery for storage: Detach the M18 pack from the vacuum when not in use, especially for long-term storage.
- 2. Check for LEDs: Ensure no LEDs remain faintly lit after release of the trigger. If they do, the PCB may be faulty.
- 3. Compare drain: Fully charge a battery, store it on the tool for a few days, and compare to a battery stored off the tool. If only the on-tool battery drains, the vacuum electronics are drawing current.
- 4. Replace control PCB: If parasitic drain is significant and inconvenient, replace the control PCB.
