Possible Causes
Filters not cleaned regularly, Filters stored damp after washing, Dust build-up in bin and cyclone, Pet hair and dander accumulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before cleaning filters and bin.
- Empty and wash bin: Empty the dust bin and, if the manual allows, wash it with mild detergent and warm water. Dry completely before refitting.
- Clean or replace filters: Remove pre-motor and post-motor filters. Wash washable filters and let them dry for at least 24 hours. Replace non-washable filters if they smell or are heavily soiled.
- Clean cyclone (if allowed): Some Morphy Richards models allow partial washing of the cyclone. Follow the manual carefully and ensure complete drying.
- Regular maintenance: Clean filters every 1–3 months depending on use, and empty the bin after each use to prevent odours.
