• Check filter installation: Remove the pre-motor filter and reinstall it carefully, ensuring it is fully seated and the cover is locked.
• Use correct filter: Confirm you are using the correct Morphy Richards filter type for your model. Some sensors rely on specific shapes or magnets in the filter frame.
• Clean sensor area: If your model uses a magnetic or optical filter sensor, gently clean around the filter housing to remove dust that may block detection.
• Test without bin (if allowed): Some models allow a brief test without the bin to see if the error changes. Follow the manual; do not run the motor for more than a few seconds without proper filtration.
• Sensor failure: If E17 persists with a correct, properly seated filter, the filter sensor (reed switch or optical sensor) on the main body may be faulty and require PCB or sensor replacement.
