Possible Causes
Blocked floorhead or wand causing motor overload, Shorted motor windings in main suction motor, Faulty current sensor on main control PCB, Partially shorted battery cell inside pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the vacuum off and remove the battery pack before inspecting the brush head or wand.
- Clear all blockages: Detach the floorhead, wand, and bin. Look through the wand and inlet for clogs (hair, dust balls, small objects). Remove any obstructions by hand or with a non-metallic tool.
- Inspect the brush bar: Remove the brush bar from the motorised floorhead (usually via a release latch or coin slot). Cut away hair and threads from the ends and bristles. Ensure the brush bar spins freely by hand.
- Check filters: Remove and clean the pre-motor and post-motor filters as per the user manual. Blocked filters can cause high load and trigger overcurrent protection.
- Test without floorhead: Refit the battery and run the vacuum with only the handheld unit (no wand or floorhead). If it runs normally, the issue is in the floorhead or wand. If it still cuts out, the main motor or control PCB may be faulty.
- Replace faulty parts: If the motorised floorhead stalls or smells burnt, replace the motorised floorhead assembly. If the handheld unit alone cuts out quickly, the main motor or control PCB likely needs replacement by a technician.
