Possible Causes

Clogged cyclone assembly, Blocked wand or extension tube, Severely clogged pre-motor filter, Obstruction at bin inlet flap

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off the vacuum and remove the battery before disassembling any parts.

  • Empty the dust bin: Remove the bin and empty it completely. Tap gently to dislodge compacted dust from the cyclone shroud.
  • Clean cyclone shroud: Use a soft brush to clean the perforated metal or plastic shroud inside the bin. Do not wash the cyclone unless the manual explicitly allows it.
  • Check wand and tools: Detach the wand and all tools. Look through each section for blockages and push them out with a flexible, non-sharp rod if needed.
  • Clean filters: Remove the pre-motor filter (usually foam or fabric) and tap off dust outdoors. If the manual allows, rinse under lukewarm water until clear, then air-dry for at least 24 hours before refitting. Never refit damp filters.
  • Inspect bin inlet flap: Ensure the rubber or plastic flap at the bin inlet moves freely and is not stuck closed by debris.
  • Reassemble and test: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble and test. If E3 persists with clear airflow, the pressure sensor or control PCB may be faulty and require professional service.
