Error 0010
Neato
Battery Protection Lockout
LED indicator shows battery error icon and vacuum refuses to charge or run

Possible Causes
Battery pack voltage too low, BMS lockout due to over-discharge, Incompatible replacement battery, Internal cell imbalance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not attempt to jump-start or open the battery pack. Severe injury or fire can result.
- Step 1 – Confirm original battery: Check that the installed battery is a genuine or fully compatible Neato pack with correct voltage and connector type.
- Step 2 – Long charge attempt: Place the vacuum on the charger and leave it connected for at least 3–4 hours, even if the charge light does not immediately come on. Some BMS circuits need time to recover from deep discharge.
- Step 3 – Reseat battery: Remove the battery, wait 1–2 minutes, then reinstall firmly. This can reset some BMS modules.
- Step 4 – Try alternate charger: If available, test with another compatible Neato charger to rule out low charge voltage.
- Step 5 – Replace battery: If the error persists and the vacuum will not run even briefly, the battery pack is likely locked out or damaged internally. Replace the entire battery pack and recycle the old one properly.
