LED pattern indicates brush head communication error; motorized head does not respond

Safety: Turn off the vacuum and disconnect from charger before handling electrical connectors.

• Step 1 – Test without wand: If your Neato cordless allows direct connection of the brush head to the main body, connect it directly and test. If it works, the wand wiring is faulty.
• Step 2 – Inspect contacts: Examine the metal contacts on the main body, wand ends, and brush head. Clean gently with a dry cloth. If corrosion is present, lightly polish with a pencil eraser.
• Step 3 – Wiggle test: With the vacuum running, gently move the wand and head connection. If the head cuts in and out, the internal wiring or connector is loose and the wand or head should be replaced.
• Step 4 – Check head PCB: Open the brush head (remove screws) and inspect the small PCB for burnt components or broken solder joints at the motor connector. Replace the head assembly if damage is visible.
