Dust Bin Presence or Latch Sensor Fault
Vacuum will not start; LED shows a bin or dust container error icon

Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully inserted, Broken bin latch, Failed bin presence microswitch, Misaligned magnet/reed sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Power off the vacuum before inspecting the bin area.
- Step 1 – Remove and reinstall bin: Take out the dust bin and reinstall it firmly until you hear or feel a click. Ensure no debris is preventing full insertion.
- Step 2 – Inspect latch: Check the bin latch for cracks or missing pieces. If the latch cannot hold the bin tightly, replace the bin assembly.
- Step 3 – Check sensor: Look inside the bin cavity for a small lever (microswitch) or magnet/reed sensor. Press the lever manually (with the vacuum off) and listen for a click. If it feels stuck or does not click, the switch may be faulty.
- Step 4 – Test with magnet (if applicable): If your model uses a magnet in the bin, move a small magnet near the sensor area and see if the bin error clears when powered on. If it does, the magnet in the bin is missing or misaligned and the bin should be replaced.
