Possible Causes
Defective tilt sensor, Loose sensor mounting, Damaged sensor wiring, Firmware misread of sensor data
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect from charger before opening the housing.
- Step 1 – Confirm behavior: Note if the vacuum shuts off only at extreme angles or even when held level. Normal safety tilt shutoff should only occur at steep angles.
- Step 2 – Reset: Perform a full power cycle and, if available, a factory reset to clear any sensor calibration issues.
- Step 3 – Locate sensor: Open the housing and find the tilt/orientation sensor (often a small board-mounted device labeled with orientation markings). Ensure it is firmly attached and not loose.
- Step 4 – Check connections: Verify the sensor's connector is fully seated on the PCB and that no wires are pinched or broken.
- Step 5 – Replace sensor/PCB: If the vacuum still reports tilt errors when used normally, the sensor is likely defective. Replace the sensor module if separate, or the main PCB if integrated.
