Possible Causes

Blocked airflow through motor housing, Severely clogged HEPA/post-motor filter, Running continuously on MAX power in high load, Failing motor with increased friction

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Remove the battery pack and allow the unit to cool for at least 30 minutes before further use.

  • Clean all filters: Remove pre-motor and HEPA/post-motor filters. Tap off dust and wash if the manual allows. Let them dry completely before reinstalling.
  • Check for blockages: Inspect the cyclone, bin inlet, wand, and nozzle for obstructions that could restrict airflow.
  • Inspect motor vents: Look at the air vents around the motor housing. Use a soft brush to remove dust buildup.
  • Reduce load: Avoid using MAX mode continuously on thick carpets. Alternate between power levels.
  • If overheating recurs quickly: The motor bearings may be worn, causing excess heat. Continued use can cause permanent damage; have the motor assembly inspected or replaced by a technician.
