Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully latched, Broken bin latch, Faulty bin presence microswitch, Misaligned magnet/reed sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery before adjusting the bin.
- Remove and reinstall bin: Detach the dust bin and reattach it firmly until it clicks. Ensure the bottom flap is fully closed.
- Inspect latch: Check for cracks or deformation in the bin latch that might prevent full engagement.
- Check sensor area: Look for a small switch or magnet area where the bin meets the body. Clean away dust that might block movement.
- Test with gentle pressure: With the bin installed, gently press it toward the body while trying to start the vacuum. If it runs only when pressed, the latch or switch is misaligned and may need replacement.
