Vacuum stops and shows a brush or tangle icon on the display

Possible Causes
Hair or string wrapped around brush bar, Foreign object lodged in floor head, Worn brush bar end bearings, Damaged brush drive belt or gear
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before working on the floor head.
- Remove brush bar: Open the access panel on the floor head (latch or screws) and lift out the brush bar.
- Clear obstructions: Cut away hair and string with scissors, taking care not to damage the bristles. Remove any foreign objects from the brush chamber.
- Check end caps: Spin the brush bar by hand. If it feels rough or seized at the ends, the bearings may be worn and the bar should be replaced.
- Inspect drive system: If accessible, check the belt or gear drive for damage or missing teeth.
Reassemble the head and test. If the jam icon returns immediately with a free-spinning brush, the brush motor or head PCB may be faulty.
