Possible Causes
Clogged cyclonic dust cup, Blocked pre‑motor filter, Saturated HEPA exhaust filter, Dust sensor detecting restricted airflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power off and remove the battery pack before servicing filters.
- 1. Empty the dust cup: Detach the dust container and empty it completely. Tap gently to dislodge fine dust from the cyclone shroud.
- 2. Clean the pre‑motor filter: Remove the foam or fabric pre‑filter. Tap it against the inside of a trash can to remove dust. If the user manual permits, rinse under lukewarm water without soap. Squeeze out excess water gently and allow to air‑dry for at least 24 hours.
- 3. Inspect and clean HEPA/exhaust filter: Access the rear or top exhaust filter compartment. Remove the HEPA cartridge and tap gently to remove loose dust. Do not wash unless the manual explicitly states it is washable. Replace if heavily discolored or damaged.
- 4. Check air paths: Inspect the inlet to the dust cup and the outlet to the wand for compacted dust. Clear any buildup with a soft brush.
- 5. Reset the error: Reinstall all filters and the dust cup. Refit the battery and power on. Some models require holding the power or mode button for 3–5 seconds to clear the filter warning.
- 6. If E03 persists: The dust sensor or pressure sensor may be faulty. Further diagnosis requires a technician to test the sensor and control PCB.
