Possible Causes
Dirty or bent battery terminals, Incompatible or non‑genuine battery pack, Faulty battery communication line on pack PCB, Defective main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and disconnect the charger from mains before inspection.
- 1. Inspect battery contacts: Check the metal terminals on the battery and inside the battery compartment for dirt, corrosion, or deformation. Clean gently with a dry, lint‑free cloth.
- 2. Check for bent pins: If any contact pins are bent, do not force the battery in. Slightly straighten with a non‑metallic tool if possible. If severely damaged, the handle/battery housing may need replacement.
- 3. Confirm genuine Panasonic battery: Ensure the battery pack is the correct model and genuine Panasonic. Third‑party packs may not communicate correctly and can trigger E06.
- 4. Reseat the battery: Insert the battery firmly until it clicks. Remove and reinsert a few times to ensure a solid connection.
- 5. Test with another battery (if available): If a second compatible battery works normally, the original pack has an internal PCB or communication fault and should be replaced.
- 6. If all batteries fail: The main control PCB or battery connector harness in the vacuum handle may be defective. This requires professional diagnosis and board replacement.
