Possible Causes
Stuck power or mode button, Contamination under rubber keypad, Faulty handle switch PCB, Broken button flex cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery pack before manipulating buttons or attempting cleaning.
- 1. Check for physical sticking: Press each button (power, mode, turbo) repeatedly. If any button feels stuck or does not return smoothly, debris may be lodged around it.
- 2. Surface cleaning: Wipe around the buttons with a slightly damp cloth (water only), then dry thoroughly. Do not allow liquid to seep into the handle.
- 3. Drying after spills: If liquid was spilled on the handle, place the vacuum in a warm, dry area for 24–48 hours to allow internal moisture to evaporate.
- 4. Limited disassembly (if user‑serviceable): Some models allow removal of the outer handle cover with screws. If you are comfortable and the manual permits, remove the cover and gently clean around the button caps with a dry brush.
- 5. If E12 persists: The handle switch PCB or flex cable is likely damaged and must be replaced by a service technician.
