Battery Overtemperature / NTC Sensor Fault
Vacuum displays E14 and battery indicator flashes rapidly; unit shuts off immediately
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Overheated battery pack, Faulty NTC temperature sensor inside battery, Poor thermal contact between cells and sensor, Defective battery pack PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If the battery feels hot, remove it carefully and place it on a non‑flammable surface away from flammable materials.
- 1. Allow cooling: Let the battery cool to room temperature (20–25°C) for at least 1 hour. Do not place it in a refrigerator or freezer.
- 2. Check usage conditions: Avoid using turbo mode continuously on thick carpets, which can overheat the pack.
- 3. Retest after cooling: Reinstall the battery and power on. If E14 clears, monitor for recurrence. Frequent overheating suggests battery aging.
- 4. Test with another battery (if available): If a second battery works normally, the original pack's temperature sensor or PCB is faulty and the pack should be replaced.
- 5. Persistent E14 with all batteries: The vacuum's battery temperature reading circuit on the main PCB may be defective and requires service.
