Possible Causes
Broken fan blade, Foreign object in motor fan, Severely worn motor bearings, Loose internal component
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the vacuum immediately and remove the battery. Do not continue to run the unit with grinding noises.
- 1. Check for loose parts in dust path: Remove the dust cup and inspect for screws, coins, or hard objects that may have been sucked in and reached the fan area.
- 2. Gently shake the main body: With the dust cup removed and battery out, gently shake the body and listen for loose internal parts.
- 3. Do not disassemble motor housing yourself: The motor and fan are factory‑balanced; opening the housing without proper tools can worsen the problem.
- 4. Service requirement: Rattling or grinding from the motor area almost always requires replacement of the motor assembly. Contact an authorized Panasonic service center.
