Possible Causes
Fully discharged battery pack, Defective power button, Failed main control PCB, Internal open circuit at battery connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the charger and vacuum are dry and undamaged before connecting to mains.
- 1. Charge the battery: Place the vacuum on the charger or dock and leave it for at least 3 hours. Confirm the charger LED indicates charging.
- 2. Try powering on while on charger (if allowed): Some Panasonic models can power on briefly while connected. If it works only on the charger, the battery is likely faulty.
- 3. Check battery seating: Remove and firmly reinsert the battery until it clicks. Inspect contacts for dirt and clean with a dry cloth.
- 4. Test the outlet and charger: Verify the outlet works and, if possible, test with another compatible Panasonic charger.
- 5. If still dead: The power button, internal wiring, or main PCB may have failed. Further diagnosis requires opening the unit and should be done by a technician.
