Possible Causes
Stuck or broken trigger switch, Child lock function engaged (on some Princess models), Faulty handle PCB, Damaged wiring from trigger to main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting the handle or trigger area.
- Step 1 – Check for child lock: Some Princess cordless vacuums have a lock button or combination (e.g., hold mode button for 3 seconds). Refer to the user manual and disable the lock if active.
- Step 2 – Inspect trigger movement: Press the trigger or power button repeatedly. It should move freely and spring back. If it feels stuck, check for dirt or debris around the button and clean with a dry brush.
- Step 3 – Internal switch check (advanced): Open the handle housing to access the trigger microswitch or tactile switch on the handle PCB. Check for broken plastic actuators or loose switch solder joints.
- Step 4 – Replace trigger switch or handle PCB: If the switch does not click or shows no continuity when pressed (test with a multimeter), replace the switch or the entire handle PCB assembly with the correct Princess part.
- Step 5 – Reassemble and test: Refit the housing, insert the battery, and test operation. If E11 persists, the main control PCB may not be recognizing the trigger signal and may need replacement.
