Possible Causes
Failed dock PCB, Broken dock power jack, Damaged dock‑to‑vacuum contacts, Loose internal wiring in dock
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dock from the mains before opening or inspecting it.
- Step 1 – Check power to dock: Verify that the wall outlet works by plugging in another device. Ensure the dock’s power adapter is firmly connected.
- Step 2 – Inspect dock contacts: Look at the metal contacts on the dock and on the vacuum/battery. Clean gently with a dry cloth. Ensure the vacuum sits correctly on the dock without wobbling.
- Step 3 – Test adapter directly: If your Princess model allows direct charging of the battery, plug the adapter directly into the battery. If it charges normally, the dock itself is faulty.
- Step 4 – Open dock (advanced): Remove screws and open the dock housing. Check for loose wires, burnt components, or cracked solder joints on the dock PCB.
- Step 5 – Replace dock or PCB: Replace the entire docking station or its internal PCB with a genuine Princess replacement. Reassemble and test charging.
