Possible Causes
Stuck mode button, Faulty tactile switch on PCB, Contamination under button, Damaged mode control circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before working on the handle or control panel.
- Step 1 – Clean around buttons: Use a dry brush or compressed air to remove dust from around the mode button. Avoid liquids that can seep inside.
- Step 2 – Check button feel: Press the mode button repeatedly. It should have a distinct click. If it feels mushy or stuck, internal contamination is likely.
- Step 3 – Open control panel (advanced): Remove screws to access the handle PCB. Inspect the tactile switch for damage or corrosion.
- Step 4 – Replace switch or PCB: Desolder and replace the faulty tactile switch, or replace the entire handle/control PCB with a genuine Princess part if you are not comfortable with soldering.
- Step 5 – Reassemble and test: Refit the housing, insert the battery, and verify that mode changes work without triggering E19.
