Possible Causes
Weak battery unable to supply turbo current, High resistance at battery contacts, Partially shorted motor windings, Faulty high‑power driver circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery if the unit becomes hot or emits odor. Do not repeatedly force turbo mode if E20 appears.
- Step 1 – Test with fully charged battery: Charge the battery to 100% and immediately test turbo mode. If E20 appears only when the battery is low, the pack is aging.
- Step 2 – Clean battery contacts: Wipe the contacts on the battery and vacuum body with a dry cloth to reduce resistance.
- Step 3 – Try a different battery (if available): If another Princess battery runs turbo mode without E20, replace the original battery pack.
- Step 4 – Inspect motor (advanced): If E20 occurs even with a new battery, the main motor may be drawing excessive current. Check for overheating, burning smell, or unusual noise. Replace the motor assembly if necessary.
- Step 5 – Control PCB replacement: If both battery and motor are good, the high‑power driver on the control PCB may be faulty and should be replaced by a technician.
