Dust Bin Interlock Misalignment
Vacuum will not start unless the dust bin is pressed upward or held in a certain position.

Possible Causes
Worn or loose bin latch, Misaligned bin presence switch, Deformed bin mounting rails, Cracked front housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before adjusting the bin or housing.
- Step 1 – Inspect bin latch: Check that the latch fully engages and holds the bin without play. If loose, replace the bin.
- Step 2 – Check for housing cracks: Look around the bin mounting area for cracks that allow movement. Replace the front housing if damaged.
- Step 3 – Test switch engagement: With the bin removed, locate the bin presence switch. Manually actuate it and test if the vacuum powers on (with caution). If it works reliably when pressed, the bin is not engaging it properly.
- Step 4 – Replace misaligned parts: Replace the bin or switch bracket so the switch is reliably engaged when the bin is installed.
