Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware on control PCB, Moisture ingress on control board, Loose internal wiring harness, Failed microcontroller on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery before opening the housing. Avoid static discharge to internal electronics.
- Power reset: Remove the battery for at least 60 seconds. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (with battery removed) to discharge residual power. Reinsert the battery and test again.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the exterior and battery compartment for signs of liquid spills. If the vacuum was exposed to moisture, do not power it on. Allow it to dry in a warm, dry place for 24–48 hours (battery removed).
- Inspect internal connectors: If comfortable, remove the outer shell to access the control PCB. Check that all ribbon cables and connectors are fully seated and show no corrosion or burning.
- Firmware/service: Some Progress models may require a control PCB replacement if E10 persists. Firmware reprogramming is typically only available at authorized service centers. Do not attempt to reflash firmware without official tools.
