Possible Causes
Failing DC-DC converter on control PCB, Loose internal battery connector, Corroded PCB traces due to moisture, Shorted indicator LED board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Remove the battery before opening the housing. Avoid touching PCB components with bare hands.
- Check battery fit: Ensure the battery locks firmly into place and does not wobble. A loose connection can cause voltage drops.
- Inspect for moisture or corrosion: Open the main housing and inspect the control PCB and display board for white/green corrosion, discoloration, or residue. If present, the board may need replacement.
- Check internal connectors: Reseat any small connectors between the control PCB and display/LED board.
- Service recommendation: If E16 persists, the internal power regulation circuitry is likely failing. Replace the control PCB or display module via an authorized service center.
