E5
Progress
Battery Voltage Sag / Low Voltage Protection
Vacuum runs only on low power and shows E5 when switching to turbo or max mode

Possible Causes
Aged lithium-ion cells in battery pack, Poor internal cell balancing, High internal resistance in battery, Loose battery terminal connection
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not open the battery pack housing; lithium-ion cells can be hazardous.
- Fully charge the battery: Place the battery on the original Progress charger until the indicator shows a full charge. Then test the vacuum again on turbo mode.
- Check runtime: If the vacuum quickly drops from turbo to low power and shows E5, note the total runtime. A significantly reduced runtime (e.g., less than 5–7 minutes on standard mode) indicates battery wear.
- Inspect battery contacts: Remove and reinsert the battery several times to clean light oxidation from the contacts. Ensure the locking mechanism holds the pack firmly.
- Try another battery: If available, test with a newer or less-used Progress battery. If E5 disappears, the original pack is at end-of-life and should be replaced.
- Replace the battery pack: Purchase a genuine Progress replacement battery pack with matching model/voltage. Avoid refurbished or modified packs, as they may not communicate correctly with the vacuum’s BMS.
