Possible Causes

Severely clogged dust bin inlet, Blocked wand or crevice tool, Obstructed motor inlet grille, Collapsed flexible hose on accessory

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Remove the battery before inserting tools into air passages.

  • Empty the dust bin: Remove and empty the bin. Check the bin inlet and cyclone shroud for compacted dust or debris and clean thoroughly.
  • Check all attachments: Detach the wand, floor nozzle, and any tools. Look through each piece against a light source to confirm they are clear. Use a long, non-sharp rod or broom handle to push out blockages.
  • Inspect the main air path: With the bin removed, inspect the main body’s air inlet and outlet ducts. Remove any visible debris with a soft brush.
  • Test suction at the main body: Run the vacuum with no attachments and feel for suction at the main inlet. If suction is strong here but weak at the nozzle, the blockage is in the wand or nozzle.
  • Replace damaged hoses: If any flexible accessory hose is kinked, collapsed, or torn, replace it with a genuine Progress hose to restore proper airflow.
