Possible Causes
Completely discharged or failed battery pack, Faulty main power switch or trigger, Broken internal power wiring, Defective control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not attempt to bypass safety switches or short battery terminals.
- Check battery charge: Place the battery on the original Progress charger and confirm that the charger LED indicates charging. If there is no LED or a fault indication, the battery or charger may be defective.
- Test with another charger or battery: If available, try a known-good charger and/or battery to isolate whether the issue is with the battery or the vacuum body.
- Inspect the trigger: Ensure the trigger or power switch moves freely and is not physically broken. If it feels loose or does not spring back, the switch assembly may need replacement.
- Internal inspection: If the battery and charger are confirmed good, open the housing and check for loose connectors between the battery terminals and the control PCB, and between the PCB and motor.
- Replace faulty components: Replace the battery pack, trigger switch, or control PCB as identified. If you are not experienced with electronics, have a technician perform these repairs.
