Progress Nozzle Gear or Debris Interference

Vacuum produces a clicking or ticking noise from the floor nozzle while in use

Possible Causes

Debris caught in brush gear teeth, Cracked gear in brush drive, Loose brush end cap, Foreign object inside nozzle

Safety: Remove the battery and detach the nozzle.

Open nozzle: Remove the brush roll and access the gear area.
Clean gears: Remove any debris from the gear teeth and surrounding area.
Inspect gears and caps: Look for cracked or missing gear teeth and loose end caps. Replace the brush roll or nozzle if damaged.
Reassemble and test: After cleaning, reassemble and test. Persistent clicking usually indicates a gear that must be replaced.
