Possible Causes
Blocked filters restricting airflow, Dust-packed cyclone assembly, Operating on MAX mode for extended periods, Faulty thermal sensor on motor housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the vacuum, remove the battery, and let the unit cool for at least 30 minutes before touching the motor area.
- Clean the pre-filter: Remove the dust bin and take out the pre-filter (usually a mesh or foam filter). Tap it gently over a trash can to remove dust. If the manual allows, rinse with lukewarm water and let it dry completely (24 hours) before reinstalling.
- Clean the HEPA filter: Remove the HEPA or rear filter. Tap off dust; if washable per Proscenic instructions, rinse gently and air-dry fully. Never reinstall a damp filter.
- Check the cyclone vents: Inspect the cyclone cone and vents for fine dust buildup. Use a soft brush to clean the holes and channels.
- Reduce MAX usage: Avoid running the vacuum continuously on MAX/Turbo mode for long periods, especially on carpets. Alternate between modes to reduce heat buildup.
- If E3 appears quickly after start-up: The thermal sensor or motor windings may be damaged. The motor assembly should be replaced to prevent further failure.
