Possible Causes
Faulty charger or power adapter, Loose or dirty charging contacts on battery or dock, Damaged battery BMS board, Faulty charging circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the charger from the wall before inspecting the charging contacts.
- Check the wall outlet: Plug another device (like a lamp) into the same outlet to confirm it has power.
- Inspect the charger: Check the Proscenic charger for damage to the cable, plug, or adapter body. If the LED on the charger does not light when plugged in, replace the charger with an original Proscenic unit.
- Clean charging contacts: On the battery and on the charging dock or handle, wipe the metal contacts with a dry cloth. If there is light corrosion, gently rub with a pencil eraser and wipe clean.
- Reseat the battery: Remove and reinstall the battery pack, ensuring it clicks firmly into place. Then reconnect the charger and observe if the charging indicator appears.
- Try a different battery (if available): If another compatible Proscenic battery charges normally, the original battery pack is likely defective and should be replaced.
- If E5 persists with known-good charger and battery: The main PCB charging circuit or dock PCB is likely faulty and may require professional replacement.
