Brush Roll Performance Degradation
Vacuum leaves lines of debris and does not pick up well from carpets
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Worn brush bristles, Incorrect floor mode selected, Brush roll not rotating at full speed, Blocked suction channel in floor head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off and remove the battery before inspecting the floor head.
- Check brush bristles: Inspect for flattened or worn bristles. Replace the brush roll if they are significantly worn.
- Verify mode: Ensure the vacuum is set to the appropriate mode for carpet (often higher power or carpet mode).
- Clean suction channel: Remove the brush roll and clean the suction opening behind it.
- Confirm brush rotation: Reinstall the brush and, with the vacuum running, visually confirm that the brush spins at normal speed. If it is slow or intermittent, the brush motor or floor head PCB may need replacement.
