Possible Causes

Broken drive belt (on belt-driven heads), Stripped gear in brush head, Burned-out brush motor, Disconnected wiring in floor head

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery.

  • Remove the floor head from the extension tube and inspect the brush roller for obstructions. Clean hair and debris from the roller and end caps.
  • Check if the roller spins freely by hand. If it is stiff or seized, the bearings may be damaged; replace the brush roller or entire floor head.
  • On models with a removable belt cover, open the cover and inspect the belt. Replace the drive belt if broken or stretched.
  • If the roller is free and the belt is intact but still does not spin, the internal brush motor or PCB is likely faulty; replace the complete motorized floor brush assembly.
