Possible Causes
Dirty or bent electrical contacts between wand and brush head, Broken wiring in wand, Incompatible or non‑Rowenta brush head, Faulty brush head PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery and detach the brush head before cleaning contacts.
- Clean contacts: Inspect the metal pins and pads on both the wand and brush head. Wipe with a dry cloth. If there is light oxidation, gently rub with a pencil eraser, then wipe clean.
- Check for bent pins: Straighten slightly bent pins carefully with small pliers. Do not force them.
- Test without wand: If your model allows, connect the brush head directly to the handheld unit to bypass the wand. If it works, the wand wiring is likely faulty.
- Try another head: If you have another compatible Rowenta motorized head, test it. If F3 disappears, the original head is defective.
- Replace faulty component: Replace the wand or brush head assembly if continuity is lost or the PCB is faulty.
